O2 Provider O2 Provider - £95
The PADI O2 Provider Specialty course represents entry-level training designed to educate divers and interested non divers (such as a charter boat captain) to recognise scuba diving injuries and to provide emergency oxygen first aid.
--- * Course Pre-requisites to be confirmed. What will I do? This course will introduce novice divers to the fundamentals of dive accident recognition, response and management. This programme provides an excellent training opportunity for divers and continuing education for leadership-level divers and instructors. Since Oxygen Provider skills deteriorate with time, PADI encourages retraining every two years as a minimum following successful completion of the course. PADI Oxygen Providers are trained to provide emergency oxygen as adjunctive first aid to injured divers while awaiting arrival of emergency medical services or evacuation to the nearest available medical facility. This course provides a guide for oxygen first aid training in the special situations of decompression illness and near-drowning. The use of oxygen in other situations is not covered. In addition, divers are encouraged to practice these and other diving skills regularly. All skills performed in an emergency should be within the scope of your training and experience. How long will it take me? * Recommended Course Hours - TBC. ![]() |
